For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope.....

...for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. Romans 8:24-25
While most people start a blog at the beginning of their adoption journey I find myself putting together one at the end. Why? It can be answered by the first question they ask you when you start to put together the blog..."Title for your blog?" That was enough to stop me. Something so personal...what should my blog say? I knew it should express HOPE. Knowing there is hope in every situation, at every place in your life and that hope can never run out. We're adding to our family again: a little girl named Amisha. She will have spent her first three years in an orphanage this coming October 10th. I wonder if she held on to hope... she has a condition called schizencephaly. Her time here on earth will be determined by complications as time passes. For now we will bring her home, love her and hope....

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY AMISHA! Today, yesterday in India, is her third birthday. I can't help but feel sad she had to have another birthday without a family. It will be her last one thankfully. Our paperwork is back here in the U.S. and her passport has been applied for and ICPC applied for. The Kolkata passport office is closed for various holidays during the month of October so we won't be able to check on anything until after October 18th. ICPC is done here between MN and OK so, it is a little easier to track. We are on target to travel Oct. 25th or Nov. 1st.

What a sweet thing it's going to be for her to see that photo with three candles someday -- and know she was loved and thought of before she arrived in your home. So excited to see those first photos of you with her!

Hey there, Debbie. I know God chose you and Kyle specifically for Amisha. What a beautiful little girl. She's so blessed to have been seen only in pictures and still chosen by you two. She will be the luckiest little girl in that orphanage the day you ladies arrive to take her home to be loved by all of you. Thanks for letting Don and I share in your journey with her. Love ya.
