Our transition to 5 children from 4 was so smooth. Those who know Jonathan (#4) know he is "fully loaded" from the minute he wakes until he falls asleep. He is giving the U of M adoption clinic a lot of funding still. (Ha Ha) So, this time around it was nice not to be challenged at every step.
With that in mind I had to post these pictures of me dear sweet princess that is soooo independent. She does everything, I mean everything her self. All day long. I used to be able to slyly pick out her clothes and lay them out in her room, but no more. The 2nd picture down is her dressed in the outfit she wanted for preschool and I was ummm....distressed so she is sucking her thumb. The top one is her thinking I am warming up to the outfit. (Yes, I messed up and downloaded the pictures wrong to blogger!)
I sometimes have to stop myself and think of which battles I am going to choose with this little special needs tiger who has already three years somewhere I would of despaired in the entire time.
In ending I have to confess I knew I had the ace in the hole because she hadn't eaten lunch and I knew she would cover it in food, no way will she wear a bib, and be upset she was dirty and change once again. So.....sweet mama hid all other clothes and won with my outfit and got to ditch the goggles because they didn't match.
Who says there aren't simple pleasures in winning? Even if it is with a 3 year old....
